Here's another recipe I tested tonight for Robyn Webb. To be honest, I was terrified of smoked oysters, but I liked them! I really liked them :)
Instructions: cook brown rice, set it aside. Cook onions, leeks, celery and garlic together with dried basil and thyme. Add to the rice. Add smoked oysters. Done!

I made this for my dad last Thanksgiving. Oh, that's right, you weren't there! My sister-in-law and I were laughing our heads off dealing with the oysters...they totally look like testicles!! My dad liked it okay, and everyone said that it wasn't as bad as they thought it would be. Unfortunately, there were some leftovers, and we put them in the downstairs spare fridge, where we forgot them for about two weeks--OMG, you can't even imagine how disgusting the smell was!!!
sounds interesting although i don't really like oysters. i could definitely see this with thanksgiving though as cindy said...
This sounds like something that would go good with a holiday menu!
