I was having a snack of milk and Milano Doulbe Chocolate cookies and thought what a great treat it was. That reminded me that "treat" is one of Anna's least favorite food words. That made me think of the food words that I do not like:
foodie
kielbasa
moist
yummo
What are some of the food words you don't like? Leave a comment and your email, and you might win a copy of Creative Cooking The Costco Way (exciting, right?). Important: I forgot to mention this before, but you must live within United States.
Note: the contest ends September 30th.

Nearly anything Rachael Ray has to say.

Tblackthorne@gmail.com

Gherkins also sounds funny.

I can't stand the word "chunks" or "chunky" in recipes. I have no idea why!
Moist, EVOO (cringe), and tripe are at the top of my least favorite cooking word list :)

Hmmm... I don't think there are any food words that bother me.
Paz
shmear
munchies
beverages
veggies

Trendy
Chitlins (not really the word so much as what they are -- and taste like!)
"Moist" is definitely bad- I think it's the way you must form your mouth to say it- as if you smell something bad- try it you'll see :) Sometimes I do use it though...
"Bam" is out- have you seen the new Crest add asking for us to come up with another "catch phrase" for Emeril? -eek!
"Offal" is awful
"Tripe" just scares me and I've never liked "Hominy" ewww!
I hate the word "functionality" the word is already modified at "functional" people!!! Did it come from "Wessonality" with Mrs. Brady?
"Nouvelle" and "Haute" are overused
"Fusion" and its varieties fizzles for me too.
Rachel Ray's whole vocabulary is in "things that must go."
Ironically I like delish and scrumptious.
Okay enough said :)
Thanks for a fun rant :)
PS don't need to enter me in the giveaway- I already had the book thanks anyway! xo
I can't believe no one else has suggested YOGURT as their least favorite food word. Now, mind you, I'm not talking about the food, itself. But the WORD! Especially the "gurt" part. Makes me think of "girdles," "gurgle," and even "old Aunt Gert." Ha! I wish they had called it something else.
I'm not a fan of tablescape or incorporate (sounds like a business transaction, not to mix in thoroughly). there aren't many more food words I don't like. I like everything about food.
pickle
bratwurst
kumquat
I thought it was at the end of the month, too.
Authentic
food porn (I know, it's two words)
julienne
low-fat
Most of Rachel Ray's food related vocabulary.
Honestly, almost any word related to food makes me happy. Unless it's 'fat' or 'calories'.
dancingdragon86@gmail.com
moist
sausage
..ewww!
drooling
slurp
mouthwatering(very overused)
julienne(some how doesnt go with the meaning)& low fat
nithya04@gmail.com
Ok, not living in the us makes me feel slightly leftout...lol... but I'm gonna give my least favorite words anyway!
Brussels sprouts (even the name is horrible!)
blood sausage
exquisite (don't even know how to write it exactly...)
