The amazing thing? With the help of Jenny and Annie (thank you, girls!) who edited my mini essay, I won! I will be representing Foodbuzz DC in June at Charlie Palmer. Cannot wait!!!
Here's my essay:
I am lucky to have never been hungry. Knowing that others are not as fortunate has inspired me to prepare meals for the DC homeless with Hunger Action, gather crops from USDA fields for local food banks, and mentor underprivileged children with Everybody WinsDC!. Being involved with Share Our Strength and covering A Tasteful Pursuit Dinner will reinforce my commitment to eradicating hunger. I am passionate about all of my involvement. This project in particular inspires me to not only educate the Foodbuzz readers, but to motivate them to get involved in whatever way possible to reduce hunger.
Well written Olga! Congratulation!
