This past Saturday I went on a tour of Montgomery County Farms sponsored by the GM Northeast. Not only did they plan the itinerary, but they also offered a few bloggers a chance to drive one of their cars for a week.
Since I don't really drive, I graciously declined, and instead was picked up by my friend Cecilia in the red shiny and sporty Chevy Sonic. How did they know we love the color red?
The first stop on the trip was Rock Hill Orchard. It was my first time visiting this fun pick-your-own farm. Not only did we gt a chance to pick herbs, strawberries and blackberries, but there was also a field of stunning and colorful flowers. I was thrilled!
Before I forget, the other DC bloggers on this fun adventure were Cecilia, Stacey, Sylvie and Ashley. Below are just some of the photos I took. Everything was SO beautiful. Scroll down!
As if it wasn't enough for us to take back some produce, we also were treated to peach ice-cream with fresh peaches. It was not overly sweet and was quite a refreshing treat.
Stay tuned for part 2 and 3 of the Montgomery County Farm Tour! I hope you all have a great weekend.
Disclosure: GM Northeast planned this outing and provided us with some of the produce. There was no other compensation. All opinions are my own.
